국내 주요 메타 블로그 중 하나인 이올린은 2006년 말 베타 서비스를 시작으로 그 입지를 굳혀가고 있습니다. 티스토리의 출현으로 이전보다 더 많은 글이 유입되고 있구요. 하지만 대부분의 메타 블로그가 지원하는 XML-RPC 인터페이스가 아닌 독자적인 API를 채택했기 때문에 워드프레스 같은 비-태터툴즈의 경우는 실제로 포스트의 발행이 불가능한 단점이 있습니다. 따라서 이 플러그인은 이러한 단점을 극복하고 워드프레스 사용자가 이올린에 자신의 포스트를 발행할 수 있도록 돕습니다.
